What visa's or passports do I need to travel to Australia?
All visitors to Australia must carry a passport that is valid on arrival to the country.  Visitors from New Zealand do not need a visa to enter Australia, but for most citizens of other countries you must obtain an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before travelling to Australia.  An ETA allows the holder to travel to Australia for up to 3 months at a time over a 12 month period.  For more information see: www.immi.gov.au/e_visa/eta.htm

What's the weather going to be like during the trip?
During April to September when we conduct most of our trips the maximum temperatures are generally 20-30 degree Celsius or 60-85 degree Fahrenheit.  This is the winter for Australia but due to our proximity to the equator this is generally a very pleasant time to visit Queensland.  During the peak of summer (December to January) maximum temperatures will rise to 25- 35 degree Celsius or 75- 95 degree Fahrenheit.  Because of the heat we have fewer trips during this time.  Due the clear, unpolluted atmosphere and warm weather sunlight is stronger than much of Europe or North America, as a result people generally burn quicker than at home.

What do the prices include/exclude?
Our trips are fully inclusive multi-activity tours. Breakfast and lunch is included every day, and dinner will be provided on the first and last night of any trip and also when the trip itinerary includes an overnight activity such as sailing. This gives some flexibility to explore some of the diverse and multi-cultural restaurants that contemporary Australia has to offer. Accommodations are chosen for their comfort and location. All transport is included as well as any back-up support necessary for a quality adventure holiday. Any additional activities not included in the itinerary can be arranged at extra cost either before you go, or while the trip is in progress.

Are there any hidden charges not included in the trip cost?
The advertised price is the total price to pay for everything stated in our OZ Adventure tour, OZ Adrenalin tour and OZ Extreme tour. We do not charge a "local payment" in Australia and there are no hidden charges. In fact through our Mates Rates program we can often offer discounts to our standard trip prices. You will need to budget for evening meals at approximately $15-40 each depending on location and any other activities that you may want to book whilst on our trip.
Gratuities are discretional and although appreciated, not expected by our guides.

How much spending money should I bring?
At the bottom-end of the scale you could get away with simply enough money for extra dinners. More realistically you'll want to bring money along for a few souvenirs, as well as a night out in Cairns or Brisbane as well. Dinner at a restaurant will range anywhere from AU$20 up. A good example of local restaurants can be found here:  www.ochrerestaurant.com.au

What happens if one or more of the activities I've paid for is cancelled because of the weather or other unforeseen circumstances?
If an activity is cancelled through no fault of your own (most commonly because of the weather) we will attempt to book you on another activity during the tour of equal value. If this is not possible we will refund the net value of the trip that was not available. Please click here to see terms and conditions for more details.

How many people will there be on each tour and what is the common age range?
We guarantee no more than nine customers on any one trip. By keeping the numbers down we are able to offer exceptional customer service that characterises an Adventure Junkies, Australian multi-activity holiday. Our commitment to responsible and ecologically sound tourism is further reason why we have guaranteed to keep our group numbers to single figures.  The age of our clients varies from 20's through to 50's.  We have found our typical customer is between the mid 20's to mid 30's in age and somebody who wants to fit as many adventure activities as possible into an amazing adventure experience.

What will the accommodation be like?
Although you will be getting dirty doing our Australian multi-activty adventure trips during the day at night you will have high quality, luxury accommodation with modern furnishings with en-suites where available. Examples of exceptions to this standard may include camping or boat cabin accommodation on overnight sailing excursions when outlined in the itinerary.  Single travellers will be twinned with same sex travellers for the advertised price where possible unless paying the single surcharge.  For an example of the sort of accommodation you can expect on one of our holidays please visit: www.elysiumpalmcove.com.au

What does the single surcharge give me?
The single surcharge will guarantee a solo traveller an individual room of the same quality of the doubles and twins that are offered to the rest of the tour.
